The Butcher’s Son — a plant-based take on the traditional New York-style deli — was founded by siblings Christina Stobing and Peter Fikaris in their hometown of Berkeley, CA, in February of 2016. The duo grew up in the restaurant business, working at their father’s vegetarian American-style diner in their teens. Today, The Butcher’s Son's flagship location has expanded to include and a small plant-based grocery, stocking the shelves with house-made goodies and other favorites from the vegan community. In May 2020, The Butcher's Son also opened up its second location in Los Angeles, CA. With an aim to provide nostalgic comfort food without a trace of animals, the Butcher’s Son has become a favorite amongst vegans and non-vegans alike.
