The Mission of the Center for the Advancement of Person-Centered Health (CAPCH) is to improve the science and practice of health promotion and disease prevention through the identification of prevention strategies, tactics, and tools designed to promote health and prevent diseases where behavior is a likely culprit. We will use education rather than medicine as our primary scientific discipline and develop effective educational methods that obviate the need for clinical intervention. We will offer reliable new methods to validate the therapeutic effectiveness of behavior-change centric educational software.
CAPCH is successor to the Certification Board for Obesity Educators and represents a pivot to a broader mission to aid in the primary prevention of chronic disease comprising obesityand other chronic diseases.
