The Community Development Trust (CDT) works with local, regional, and national partners across the United States to make long-term equity investments and to originate and acquire long-term mortgages in affordable housing. CDT seeks to support affordable housing and community impact.
Our mission is to ensure long-term housing affordability and to enhance the quality of life for residents of low- and moderate-income communities.
Founded in 1998, CDT currently invests $3.6 billion in debt and equity capital in properties across 45 states and regions. These properties include more than 38,000 units which provide stable affordable housing for more than 140,000 residents.
CDT is a private real estate investment trust (REIT) and a certified national Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
