The Conscientization Movement

From a scheduled workshop that flopped, emerged a children's rights awareness campaign...a campaign that soon evolved into a Movement! And we are growing...' We have evolved into a movement! Reflecting on this experience, we found the inspiration to widen our focus and expand our efforts and include other vulnerable groups including youth and women as well as underserved communities. To help us monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts; we have defined our focus into 5 main sectors. These include: ● Children's Welfare ● Youth Development ● Women's Emancipation ● People Empowerment ● Environmental and Climate Action Our mission is to conscientize vulnerable groups of their rights and innate capabilities such that they self-actualize and ultimately assume their societal roles. We believe that achieving a just and inclusive society is a firm foundation for sustainable development. The desirable outcome of this social justice, inclusion and sustainable development is positive peace; peace that is resilient. The Green cause! We believe that a good environment is a prerequisite for the peaceful world we envision. So we concern ourselves with environmental and climate action. Our Vision Plan is to capacitate vulnerable groups and underserved communities with skills that give them the building blocks of survival & livelihood and information on their rights and capabilities; empowering them to realize their inherent potential such that they ultimately assume their societal roles and responsibilities. We believe in equipping people with these defences to achieve a sustainable society for all, where no one is left behind. We are diverse! From academians to budding artists; to tech guys and start-ups….we believe that everyone and anybody can make a difference by using and doing what they are good at!
