Crescent Chemicals, the flagship company of The Crescent Group was established in 1964 in Mumbai as a trader in Industrial Chemicals, Solvents & Polymer Products.
With the expansion of business, in trading and related activities keeping in view of the objective of concentrating on market development of agency products, enlarging the range of trading items and strengthening the import, export & indenting facility an associate company was incorporated in Feb., 1991 in the name of Crescent Organics Pvt. Ltd.
Products marketed by Crescent caters to all the segments of the Indian Industry with the marketing network in all major cities viz., Mumbai, Delhi, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Daman, Hyderabad and Chennai. Both the companies have direct access to all major end-users. Crescent handles half a million tonnes of bulk and packed products annually and also has adequate storage facilities for handling bulk imports as well as ample warehousing facilities to store packed products.
Crescent Innovative Packaging Pvt. Ltd. (CIPPL) is one of the latest ventures of The Crescent Group. Through Crescent Innovative Packaging we have ventured & diversified into manufacturing of Block Bottom Welded Woven Sacks & Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) / Jumbo Bags. This project has been commissioned in April 2012 and these sacks are being produced on a 100% integrated line from Windmoller & Holscher (W&H), Germany. This 'Generation Next' plant is amongst the first of its kind in India and produces innovative sacks for applications such as packaging of Cement, Gypsum, Fertilizers, Cereals, Chemicals, Plastic Resins, Sugar, Salt etc.
In order to benefit from fast growing globalisation of the Indian Trade, the Group has acquired in the year 2000 a major shareholding in Kemsol Ltd., an UAE based chemical & polymer trading company having state of the art warehousing facility in Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone and caters to middle eastern customers.
