The Customs House is a not-for-profit charitable trust. Any profits we make goes back into supporting our community and education projects, nurturing new creative talent and maintaining our Grade II listed building which is essential if we are to continue welcoming more than 250,000 visitors every year.
We may not be the biggest arts centre in the region but through your support we pride ourselves on being able to offer a wide range of experiences. Our motto is simple - ‘arts and entertainment for all’. From stage performances to cinema screenings, art exhibitions and get involved activities there really is something for everyone. We work with over 120 schools delivering Arts Award, Arts Mark and offering educational resources. We provide a platform for young talent to write, produce and perform in front of packed houses and support community groups to learn new skills and develop existing ones .
