The Daak

TheDaak is a book review journal. We publish original book reviews across disciplines and genres. The journal is trying to re-invent the category of the book review itself, moving away from the conventional ways of writing and talking about books. We therefore encourage reviews that take us beyond the obvious and help us navigate the inner world of the book in more reflective and creative ways. We are a peer review platform but unable to accept contributions in any language other than Hindi and English at the moment. However, we encourage submissions of books from all languages. In future, we do hope to host book reviews from all languages spoken in the Indian subcontinent. We encourage our contributors to review little known writers writing in the local languages.
