The Design Studio was founded in the year 2005 by Mr. Louis Boshoff who wanted to create a firm specializing in architecture, as well as, interior design. Combining the two fields successfully provided a complete service to its clients, not just creating the structural architectural shell, but designing it with an understanding of the interior spaces to explore all available possibilities. The Head Office, situated in Potchefstroom, has been involved in projects not just locally, but also abroad.
The company, headed by Mr. Louis Boshoff has more than 23 years of exceptional experience in the field of Architecture, Interior Design and Project Management. Mr. Boshoff has also lectured at accredited institutions in South Africa and the Netherlands, and has also received numerous awards for excellence.
The Company portfolio ranges from Five Star Hotels, Commercial and Retail Design, Sport and Recreational facilities, Hospitals, Schools, Tertiary Institutions, Executive Offices, Industrial Plants, Distribution Plants and Up-market Residential Developments. International projects, as completed in the Netherlands, Namibia, DRC, Swaziland and Uganda range from Boutique Hotels, Executive Offices, Luxury Apartments, Industrial Factories/Plants and one of the biggest fresh produce markets in Africa.
A vast majority of the projects are done for High Profile clients such as The SA Government, Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, His Majesty Leruo Molotlegi (King of the Royal Bafokeng Nation in South Africa), South Africa Football Association (SAFA), and the Local Provincial Government, just to name a few.
The Company strongly believes in playing an important part in creating sustainability, economic viable and invironment friendly solutions to the challenges facing countries all over the world. The Company has worked with researchers from Brazil and the Netherlands on developing a prototype for sustainable low cost housing in South Africa.
