The Development Studio represents the work of its founder, Charles Rulick. Since 1997 Charles has been involved in residential site design and construction projects; this continues today as consulting and investment advisory for luxury properties in the US and Jamaica. Early design work evolved into large scale site master planning, urban revitalization strategy, and comprehensive planning for cities and towns. In 2001 Charles began a property management position which was his entry into the real estate business; further, it provided experience in the construction, property operations, marketing and the initial lease-up of investment grade multifamily property. Later, an internship at Forest City Realty Trust (NYSE: FCE.A) led to a position where he was involved in the management of 2M square feet of new retail development. Charles has since led large multifamily and mixed-use projects for Wood Partners, Miller-Valentine Group and CenterCal Properties.
The Development Studio has developed a particular interest in mixed-use urban development, multifamily and resort projects and advises clients throughout the US and Caribbean.
