thedisco.tech Brands and producers need to be involved in the process of getting their products to shelves and on plates. The industry feels very segmented in the sense that a producer, unless they’re DTC, has to lean on their distributor “partner” for everything after the product leaves their facility. There is little to no visibility as to what is happening behind the curtain. Brands and producers should have full visibility to how their items are performing, sell through rates, customer profile and volume, pricing, etc. The distributor should be a force multiplier, not a necessary evil in the supply chain. Included in The DisCo package is a full suite of transparency and analytics tools available to vendor partners. Vendors will have direct access to their customers supported by The DisCo. On the other hand, we are comfortable with every level of engagement from our vendors; if they want to have The DisCo be their sales force, we are happy to do so. We are firm believers in competitive advantage; vendors can focus their energy on their products while we handle getting it to customers.
