The Diversity Network

Launched in January 2018 The Diversity Network (TDN) is a Jersey-based movement for change with a not-for-profit ethos. We aim to help organisations become more diverse, through creating more equitable working cultures where everyone feels they belong. We’re passionate about enabling diverse and inclusive working cultures not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes great business sense. We originated from the 'Women's Development Forum' and whilst gender diversity will remain a core issue for us, we aim to broaden our reach with events and projects that bring positive change to a range of diversity issues within and beyond the Island. TDN aspires to make a real and positive difference to the local community, generating forward-thinking ideas and practical solutions to diversity related business issues, such as greater diversity at senior levels in the business, accessing untapped talent in a highly competitive recruitment market and greater innovation and creative thinking. We will work with employers to promote and share the good practice already happening in relation to diversity and inclusion and we will raise awareness of practices and attitudes that we believe need to change to create a fairer and more inclusive working environment for all. We want TDN to be very much about action and outcomes – not just a talking shop – and so we will continue to evolve clear, measurable aims and targets and ensure practical solutions for change, one step at a time.
