The DW Consultancy has been helping a wide variety of transport and logistics clients for over 25 years, from Blue Chip private sector companies to public sector organisations such as London Boroughs, the Police and the Fire Service. Based in Kent, the consultancy covers the whole of the UK. We are experienced in helping customers with all aspects of Fleet Management, but our focus is on overall fleet strategy. So, we will establish and demonstrate that operators are: • selecting the right vehicles for their organisation • purchasing vehicles in the most cost-effective way • maintaining vehicles effectively throughout their lives • maximise asset value at disposal At the same time, we will also evaluate all the fleet management systems, fleet policies, fleet procedures and fleet personnel utilised by the organisation in order to establish maximum value for money during the lifetime of the Fleet. Working for government sponsored organisations such as the Knowledge Transfer Networks and the Energy Savings Trust helped keep the Consultancy on top of the latest technology, utilising the latest techniques and principles. The breadth of transport sectors covered in this time is wide, including; aircraft ground handling, oil exploration, rescue services, waste, general haulage, gas, the food industry, events, road construction, tanker operations, blue light fleets, pharmaceutical; the list is comprehensive. This depth of understanding is applied to all client assignments, giving a large databank of knowledge and ideas from which to draw upon to produce optimal solutions to current day issues and problems. In contrast to many consultancies, we are eager to project manage the change process, based upon the solutions we offer. This means that our recommendations are often more realistic than most consultancies, who frequently merely advise, without necessarily getting involved in the day-to-day intricacies of operating the fleet.
