The Educated Birth

The Educated Birth creates teaching tools for childbirth ed and other reproductive health topics for birth workers like midwives, OBGYNs, doulas, childbirth educators, and more. They are effective, accessible, inclusive and high-quality tools for use with a wide community of parents-to-be. The degree of their inclusivity is among their standout features — pregnant people, parents, and support people across many intersections — including age, race, gender, sexual orientation, body shapes and size, hair texture and style, disability, and more — are represented prominently throughout our work. The Educated Birth materials have been used and/or featured by organizations including Babylist, Doula Trainings International, Birthing Advocacy Doula Training, The Birth Place Lab, Community Birth Schools from Ancient Art Midwifery, Common Sense Childbirth, Inc (founded by 2022 TIME Woman of the Year, midwife Jennie Joseph) and their National Perinatal Task Force, Hypnobabies, Abuela Doulas (the first Black-owned UK Doula Course), SisterSong, and more.
