Escala Initiative

At Escala, we believe entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for empowerment, enabling individuals to break barriers and create opportunities for themselves and their communities. Escala is an award-winning business school dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs from vulnerable backgrounds in Latin America, particularly women. Our 8-month program provides free education and comprehensive business support, helping entrepreneurs with limited access to higher education thrive in challenging environments. In addition to training, participants benefit from access to markets, networking opportunities, and non-refundable seed capital to kickstart their ventures. Since 2019, Escala has enrolled more than 2,000 students (15% migrants and refugees), primarily in Peru and Mexico, and has had a profound impact on their business performance and growth prospects. Upon completing the program, 100% of graduates implement new business practices, with 90% seeing an increase in sales and 10% achieving over 30% growth. Escala equips entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed and fosters economic development in their communities.
