The Fire Technicians Network is a professional association, founded in 2007, with the mandate of providing education, training, and support to technicians engaged in the installation, maintenance, service, inspection, and testing of building life safety equipment and systems. The jurisdictional authorities tasked with enforcing the various Codes and Standards governing our industry are fully supported partners within this mandate.
March 2017 marks the launch of a new Canadian based initiative for professional technologist Certification for individuals engaged in servicing and testing building life safety equipment. The Fire Technicians Network Certification Programme represents the Gold Standard of professional practice and a new benchmark for our industry that will ensure the vital services our members provide are delivered without compromise to the various communities in which they work, and that elect to support this initiative.
