The Foundation for the Developing Person has provided psychotherapeutic training across a range of sectors and in a variety of formats for almost a quarter century. Set up in 1998 by Jan Hawkins to teach her person-centred approach to counselling, the organisation has worked with leading health, care and educational bodies, as well as a number of charities and universities. In addition to conventional workplaces, FDP training has been embedded in the emergency services, palliative care, residential homes and the special needs sector.
