The Game Changer Project

The GC project: Creating science-based online games and activities for maximizing the long run well-being of people in transition situation through skills development, while working on the accreditation of educators in the field. The GC project started in 19 September 2016 and will go on until 18 November 2018; in sum it will be running for 26 months, in total. The GC project is based on Self-Regulatory Skills (SRS) science that refers to both unconscious and conscious processes that affect the ability to control responses. Self-regulation is often thought of as a dual process – cognitive and social-emotional. The GC project is targeted to all, but especially to people in transition situation; disadvantaged and at-risk groups frequently are those facing big life changes, for whom successful transition is a basic requirement for a decent participation in life. The GC project is using an online, gamified platform , accessible from anywhere, anytime, for training, playing and learning online in order to develop personal and employability skills with the support of accredited social operators, in an web-based community.
