The Giddens Group

In 2002, Nancy Giddens began her governmental consulting career by joining Jim Russell and Associates. After three years, she partnered with the firm and the business was renamed The Giddens and Russell Group. In 2008, Giddens created her own governmental affairs business, The Giddens Group LLC. Shannon Cooper joined The Giddens Group LLC in 2009 and functions as a primary partner. The Giddens Group LLC’s business model opts for subcontractors in lieu of employees. Giddens splits her time between Jefferson City and Kansas City. Cooper resides in Jefferson City during session months. The Giddens Group LLC provides an array of professional governmental affairs services including bill drafting, amendment drafting, bill tracking, committee monitoring, weekly legislative updating, entertaining, and much more. Our mission is two-fold: to provide you with direction on political issues and to work with elected officials to advance your proposals. To meet client needs and take full advantage of potential opportunities, we help our clients formulate governmental strategies on local, county, and state levels.
