The Global Language Network (GLN) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, founded by Andrew Brown in 2005, whose mission is to use language as a tool to help fix our world. All of us surely want to fix the world but many of us lack the necessary tools. The Global Language Network® (GLN) is a DC-based 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that provides those tools. GLN develops learning communities that break down cultural barriers and bridge the gap between a diversity of people. We offer affordable language classes in more than 60 languages by engaging and training volunteer native speakers who teach their language and share their culture with the community. Vision: To connect and empower people through language and culture Language is the tool with the most potential, value, and promise since communication is the key to success in every relationship and any endeavor. At GLN, we empower changemakers and future-changemakers with invaluable language tools that break down communication barriers so they can go out and better-serve and fix our world. Our Model: Providing opportunities to learn any language at a minimal cost GLN offers language classes in more than 60 languages. We strive to build students’ confidence and competence to communicate with others in meaningful and practical ways, while developing teachers as educators and leaders. In order to realize our vision, we aim to establish a diverse network of lifelong language learners within the United States and abroad.
