The Good Eats Project

We are a student-led non-profit initiative created to promote charity, financial literacy, and an entrepreneurial spirit amongst youth while raising funds to fight hunger. Our mission is to empower students to positively impact their communities and create lasting change while gaining practical financial skills through entrepreneurial experience. Our organization functions through two major activities. Firstly, Good Eats Chapters sell snacks and refreshments at schools to raise money for local food banks; these Chapters operate regularly, whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, offering a unique selection of products each time, typically following fun themes. Secondly, recurring lessons are organized by Chapter leaders. These lessons teach members about financial literacy and entrepreneurship in the context of the Chapter’s business operations; whether it’s logistics, marketing, or finances, Chapter members have opportunities to take what they are learning and put it into practice through first-hand experience as they help run the business.
