We started out as an organization that helped female leaders connect with each other thanks to our sophisticated AI algorithms. Over time, we realized that the educational events we hosted to help women learn about this new way of networking were the actual draw for the community of female founders. That's when we pivoted and invited the best of hundreds of speakers and investors we had met at our SERENDIPITY conferences and at ~200 events in San Francisco to come and share their secrets with a wider audience of first-time entrepreneurs. This program is the GUILD Academy. Over 200 entrepreneurs have participated in the program and pitched to investors at the GUILD showcase. Our mission as a company is to level the playing field for women in the startup world. That's why we are extremely happy when our GUILD Alumnae reach out and share their successes in raising angel funding, a successful crowdfunding campaign, reaching breakeven or getting their first institutional round of investment. The GUILD Academy is a little different from anything else in the market. The program doesn't require any prior knowledge of business or company building. It's not a "coaching masterclass" taught by one person and it isn't a typical accelerator only interested in high growth and a quick exit. Instead, the small cohorts (max 25) of participants learn from experts who attend weekly live sessions, from video modules, and in 1:1 strategy sessions with the program host and founder of the GUILD, Anne Cocquyt.
