At the Gut Centre we are a multi-disciplinary team providing gut-expert psychology, gut-directed hypnotherapy, dietetics and pelvic-floor physiotherapy. We are the first and leading experts in Australia to provide mind and gut psychological treatment to treat disorders of brain-gut interaction. We provide expertise in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) treatment as well as a broad and complex range of gastrointestinal disorders and conditions. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care utilising evidence-based treatments. Clinical research supports using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and gut-directed hypnotherapy (GDH) to treat functional gastrointestinal disorders with up to 80% success rates of improvement in symptom severity. The Gut Centre provides individual therapy to adults, adolescents and children. We also run groups including our newly developed GI (Gastrointestinal) specific Yoga group which has been a huge success. Our GI Yoga program is provided by one of our very own GI Psychologists and qualified Yoga Teacher/Trainers.
