Hello! My name is Douglas B. Bond, Jr., & I am the Founder, CEO & Chief Investment Officer of The Hatchatorium Group, LLC. My educational background is in computer science, finance, healthcare, music & graphic arts. I hold multiple degrees & certifications in all of these relevant fields of study. I got my start in investing while attending the Georgia Institute of Technology, where my R.A. & best friend, at the time, was an Economics major who wrote a computer program that attempted to pick stocks based on statistical probabilities, as well as other factors, including mass psychology & cognitive behavior. His program didn't perform very well, but the experience was enough for me to become hooked on the study of different market behaviors, & to eventually begin investing & trading stocks & options contracts. I also founded two other funds (both had very good returns, but are now voluntarily closed), as well as three companies which are NOT in the fields of either finance OR investing, during my 32+ year career as a professional investor, trader & market analyst. At the beginning of January, 2020, I founded The Hatchatorium Group, as a private equity & alternative investment management group, with a strong focus on risk management, using spreads & various standard hedge fund strategies. That being said, we also actively trade equities & derivatives, as well as precious metals & other hard assets. In certain situations, I sometimes choose to personally invest in startups (in the form of private placements or IPOs; I am NOT an angel investor) that I've identified as businesses which have shown great promise in different fields & sectors that I believe will create the next wave of major changes & paradigm shifts in the way humanity functions & views itself.
