Puente de Hozho - Northern Arizona University/ Flagstaff, Arizona

Puente de Hozho is an Elementary Trilingual Magnet school in which we teach Navajo, Spanish, and English through content including culture of the three different languages. Students become fully bilingual we are part of the Flagstaff Unified School District. We are a very successful school not only because of the fluency of both languages students learn, but also by the high academic proficient they became in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. Puente de Hózhó has a great community working including parents, teachers, administrators, staff, and students. We have different activities throughout the year to maintain a family environment, respecting each of the cultures and enriching the school with each other culture. Learning is fun and important at Puente. Northen Arizona University is a great University located at the North area of Arizona. The Department of Education is well recognize and has great Higher Education Programs including Bilingual Education, Technology in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Psychology, Math in education, and more. Professionalism is clear at the College of Education working together for the goal of creating good citizens and education professionals that would help new generations make a better world.
