The Hidden Countship

The Hidden Countship is a family owned retail boutique established in Charleston South Carolina in January 2012. The company offers the most exclusive Italian hand made goods and antiques. The owners, Donatella and Giulio della Porta, aspired to showcase in the United States little-known artisans whose work embodies the very essence of Italian craftsmanship. Nestled in a lovely jasmine-pink building on Burns Lane, protected and secluded as was the ancestral property of the della Porta family in the Umbrian countryside centuries ago, the Hidden Countship offers a progression of rooms filled with beauty and history: from chandeliers with delicate rose-colored petals to bold ceramics, from crisp hand-woven linens to whimsical Neapolitan nativity scenes filled with miniature animals and figurines in a succession of bucolic scenes. All exclusively made in Italy.
