The Hous Foundation

In November of 2017, Annie Niewenhous and her two children Isabelle (Izzy, 3) and Parker (8 months) lost their lives due to an act of domestic violence. Their family established the Hous Foundation to honor, remember and continue their legacy. Annie was an avid crafter and sewer, had a strong love for the environment, and a passion for health and nutrition. She spent a summer working at Yellowstone National Park, finished several triathlons and coached other triathletes, obtained a PhD in nutrition, and even sewed her own wedding dress. Her love of arts and crafts was evident in all of the things she created with and for her daughter and her life is dotted with endless examples of passions and pursuits which the Foundation will seek to integrate into its mission. Annie dedicated her professional life to helping others overcome serious health issues and get their lives back. She loved her children infinitely and sought the best life for them. Through her work and her interests, as well as her compassion and humor, she touched many lives. The HOUS Foundation continues her legacy of improving the lives of others. The Hous Foundation is a registered non-profit in the State of Ohio and a Federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
