About The Hummingbird Project - Quality of Life Engagement Program
The Hummingbird Project is a one-on-one engagement program for older adults and adults living with disabilities, both in person and virtually. Our unique program pairs clients with Engagement Specialists who design individualized programming tailored to enhance each client’s quality of life. Customized sessions promote holistic well-being. Based on the client's interests and preferences, activities may include intellectual engagement, creative enrichment, memoir writing, pursuing hobbies, virtual travel, outings, music programs, and more. Our team's unparalleled expertise drives The Hummingbird Project's success. Engagement Specialists, who include creative arts therapists, teaching artists, recreation therapists, and counseling psychologists, tailor The Hummingbird Project’s approach to meet each client's needs. Skilled in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, our Specialists follow evidence-based practices to enhance quality of life. Our parent organization, Sage Eldercare Solutions, offers comprehensive eldercare services, including concierge care management and specialized home care. Sage is committed to fostering employee creativity and collaboration and prioritizes cultivating a vibrant and rewarding workplace. Team members appreciate the respect, learning opportunities, and support we provide. Flexible Options Consultation: Engagement Specialists consult with families, care providers, and eldercare professionals to create personalized quality-of-life engagement activity plans. This may involve generating ideas, offering individualized training for care team members, preparing and organizing materials, training professional caregivers, and more. Interventions: We provide one-on-one interventions to address agitation and boredom that may lead to behavioral expressions of unmet needs or support individuals during transition and stress. Visit our website to schedule a free consultation to explore how The Hummingbird Project can address your eldercare needs.
