Our hobby model is simple: collect junk from industry, corporate and households BEFORE it goes to landfill. We clean, batch and upcycle to early childhood and artists.
A small cackle of women started The Junk Wave as a part time hobby and fund raising venture for local charities. Each of us is concerned with environmental issues, the future of our children, peaceable and sustainable existence and ethical business. We are committed to things that make the world go round: women, children, people, peace, fair trade coffee and chocolate.
We collect junk from industry, manufacturers, corporate and private households. We cleanse and categorise the junk to resell as collage and construction material to Early Childhood centres (day care centres, Kindergartens, Outside School Hours Care, Vacation Care, etc) and artists.
