The Kahneman Foundation

The Kahneman Foundation began as a non-profit social intervention in early 2022. Over the years, a rise in gambling activities can be seen amongst the youth in Ghana and much of West Africa. This growth has also translated into a rise in harms related to irresponsible gambling loosely termed as ‘gambling addiction’. These harms can affect self-esteem, relationships, physical and mental health, work performance and social life and can include : relationship difficulties. - health problems. - emotional or psychological distress. - financial problems. - issues with work or study. - cultural problems. - criminal activity Today , The Kahneman Foundation takes on the role of intervention. Our objective is to provide our clients with all the help necessary to combat the harms of irresponsible gambling through group and individual therapy, educational lectures and panels, counseling and financial help. Our emphasis on needs identification, communication and follow-through procedures ensures that providing help to our clients are top priority in the planning and execution of our processes. Our execution philosophy is: - to create an easily accessible environment to welcome youth in need of intervention, - create detailed schedule and resources to meet the needs of patrons, - supervise closely on the quality of work and projects done.
