The Learning Ladder is an educational consultancy, founded and run by Payal Sinha. With over 20 years of international training and experience in international schools in India, United Kingdom and the American School of Bombay, The Learning Ladder connects schools, families and students. Payal has a Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and a Post Graduate Certification in Education from London South Bank University (LSBU), specialising in Primary Curriculum with a super specialisation in Early Childhood. Further training and professional development experiences include PYP, Reggio Emilia, Responsive Classroom, Teaching Strategies Gold, Adaptive schools, Play Therapy, de Bono Six Thinking Hats, supporting English Language Learners through WIDA and setting up a multi-age classroom.
Payal's experience allows her to effectively guide educational institutions in step-by-step lesson planning, Individualising and differentiating instruction, assessment, classroom management, portfolios, Inquiry, parent communication and creating a supportive classroom environment. The Learning Ladder's philosophy is to keep the child at the heart of all learning, supporting them throughout their school years at school and at home. The Learning Ladder offers parent group discussions, individualised teacher training, and holistic curriculum development, to schools, teachers and parents, in the form of workshops.
The scope of consultancy extends from individual workshops to long-term projects. Workshops can be held for between one hour to one day, catering to a specific need or challenged faced. Long-term projects will be 1-2 month partnerships, to develop a school's curriculum alongside school administration, holding multiple teacher training workshops for a multi-dimensional professional development, and discussions with parents about the best practices being implemented at the school.
