The Lost Avocado is a leading Italian travel & lifestyle online magazine by writer Sara Izzi and filmmaker Timur Tugalev. Since launching in 2014 we've visited 35+ countries and shared hundreds of unique travel stories, quickly becoming one of the most influential travel sites in Italy. Along our journey we've had the pleasure to collaborate with brands such as: Google, Disneyland, Vanity Fair, DJI, Air France, Hilton, Skyscanner and others.
Our inspirational "Lost in" travel films won the 1st prize in the prestigious National Geographic Traveler competition for two consecutive years with "Lost in Cuba" in 2018 and "Lost in Kyrgyzstan" in 2017. Our film "Lost in Malta" created in a collaboration with DJI Global, as well as our most recent film "Lost in Uzbekistan" have both received the distinguished Vimeo Staff Pick Award. Our travel series are featured on National Geographic, Condé Nast Traveller, Forbes, Outside Magazine, El Pais, The Huffington Post, Der Spiegel and other publications. In 2017 Sara Izzi received an Excellence Award for her written work in Italy.
