The Luv u Project

Carolyn Mattingly understood what it meant to love. Often signing her notes with “Luv u,” she brought a special grace to even the simplest exchange. Carolyn’s warm heart and genuine concern for making a difference was also demonstrated every day—through her countless commitments to family, causes, and community leadership. On September 30, 2014, her life was abruptly, violently, and senselessly ended. In memoriam of Carolyn and as a tribute to her goodness, The Luv u Project has been established as a lasting commitment from her husband, daughter, family, and friends to continue her legacy. The mission of The Luv u Project is to turn an unacceptable tragedy into a quantifiable agenda and responsible actions that advance the understanding of, and treatments for, mental health issues.
