The Mahogany Project

The Mahogany Project Inc. was founded on April 24, 2017, with the mission of reducing social isolation, stigma, and acts of injustice in TQLGB+ Communities of Color, aiming to create a thriving community for all TQLGB+ persons of color. As a Black trans-led community impact organization in Houston, TX, our primary goal is to establish and uphold the safety and prosperity of Black TQLGBIA+ individuals in the south. We envision a world where all trans individuals, particularly Black trans women and gender-diverse people, can love, be loved, and thrive without the threat of hostility, harm, or violence.
