We offer organizations practical ways of fostering adaptability, collaboration, creativity and joy at work. Over the last five years, we have served a diverse spectrum of clients including Shopify, Deloitte, Google, The University of Calgary, The Nature Conservancy of Canada and even a forensics firm. We use applied improvisation. Applied improvisation is an umbrella term describing the growing field of study exploring the application of the principles and practices of theatrical improvisation beyond theatre spaces, to foster intra- and interpersonal skills necessary to thrive in volatile, uncertain and rapidly changing environments. We use applied improvisation because 1) scientific research links the practice of improvisation to greater uncertainty tolerance, participation, creative thinking, confidence and adaptability, 2) it is a boring-proof, collaborative, and playful way to learn 3) it works online and in-person.
