The Mason Foundation was founded in 2017 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Stephen Mason, with a single mission: to support communities in becoming happier and healthier.
We are proud to deliver the Community Mile – a one-mile or 15-minute community-led activity programme that encourages people of all abilities to get moving.
The Community Mile brings people together to walk, talk, and connect – “their Mile, their way.” Whether walking, wheeling, or simply taking time to be active, it's a fun, inclusive, and accessible way to promote regular movement and social interaction within local communities.
Alongside this, through our Propel program, we work with employers to build more neuroinclusive workplaces. We support businesses in understanding and embracing neurodiversity, while creating pathways for SEN school children to discover their unique strengths, develop skills, and gain meaningful work experience.
