THE MENTAL MENTOR APP
Specifically designed to assist people experiencing PTSI or a mental health trauma / difficulty to 'start the conversation' and to capture a record of a persons day. The state of mind, feelings and emotions are linked to events or incidents to enter a conversation about this moment / day. The summary of the record is linked to a calendar that enables users to possibly identify triggers that are associated to their mental health injuries. The conversation never has to be repeated again and can be shared with psychologists, counsellors, family or friends at anytime to gain support and assistance.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER & LIFE COACH
Helen is a keynote speaker, and life coach - wellbeing, using the knowledge, lived experience and professional training to educate and empower others to recovery from mental health injuries or trauma.
Helen will speak to any size group or individuals with a raw honesty and compassion to provide the knowledge, cognitive tools and positive frameworks as a strategy to manage PTSI to the road to recovery.
Helen is a police veteran of 11 years with Queensland Police Service, notably as a Principal Intelligence Analyst working on the Daniel Morcombe investigation & joint operations with the AFP and ACC.
Specialising in emergency services and domestic violence with a wellbeing focus I am keen to smash the stigma around mental health injuries & to inspire others to accept being human and a person is okay after being faced with incidents or challenges that are out of their control.
Diagnosed with PTSD in 2006 after first response to the murder of her daughters best friend, she was 11 years old at the time and communicating the message to the children at the school as the Adopt-a-cop was a horrific day. It was a day that broke her.
The driving force to support others on the road to recovery from PTSI was being lost for 7 years after the PTSD diagnosis in 2006 & lack of any medical or professional guidance or support.
