The Metta Center

The Metta Center began in 2009 to serve as a massage center for authentic therapeutic massage geared towards treating your unique symptoms and challenges. The therapist spends the time to listen, inquire and discuss your needs and customize a treatment plan to support your healing. The Metta Center is a healing community for the whole you. We strive to provide services to support your health and wellness. Our center has two floors with a yoga studio on the lower level and three massage treatment The Metta Center is a healing massage center focused on integrating various massage modalities including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Reflexology and Thai Massage. At the Metta Center, therapeutic massage sessions are dedicated to relieving chronic pain caused by injury or stress. It is our goal to restore your sense of peace and balance. The name, the Metta Center, comes from the word "Metta," is a concept that expresses a compassionate state of mind and often translated from Pali as "loving-kindness" or "good-will." For our team, the cultivation of metta is essential in creating an environment that promotes healing, self-love, good relationships and the evaporation of stress. Although producing positive treatment outcomes is an important goal at The Metta Center, our intention of treating each client with kindness and acceptance is first and foremost. Leah, the founder of The Metta Center, was introduced to the concept of Metta in her Thai Massage training, and it resonated profoundly with her. She was captivated by the training's vital emphasis on loving-kindness for oneself, and on integrating Metta meditation into one's massage practice and life. MISSION We facilitate true, authentic pro-active healing for clients of all backgrounds utilizing a customized therapeutic approach that is based on listening, and supporting each client in the ways they need to be supported.
