About THE MOUNTAIN WAY : CONQUERING COMPLEX MILITARY PTSD

The Mountain Way is a charity dedicated to delivering bespoke programmes designed to help former and serving military personnel living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) regain control over their combat-damaged lives. Launched in September 2014, The Mountain Way programme relies upon a wide network of supporters to allow our guests (those living with PTSD) to take part in The Mountain Way programme and ascend their own mountains towards peace, happiness, and harmony. The Mountain Way programme is run on a one-to-one basis by Major Andy Shaw Royal Marines (retired) who is a Falkland Islands conflict and Northern Ireland veteran. Andy suffered from PTSD for 30 years before he was able to overcome his “silent wound”.
