Prior to closing in 2022, The Next Right Thing, LLC, offered community-based substance abuse and mental health treatment for adolescents (ages 16-23) and their families.
Substance abuse and mental health problems are symptoms of a disease in an adolescent's life. Treatment in the community with families and peers is the solution. We were located in Bishop’s Corner, West Hartford at the crossroads of North Main Street and Route 44. The Next Right Thing offered easy access to neighboring communities in Avon, Bloomfield, Farmington, Simsbury, and Canton.
The Next Right Thing was an after-school and early evening program. The program was structured to address a continuity of treatment needs – from identifying a problem; through stabilizing changes in new behaviors; to maintaining healthy behaviors for the entire family.
