The Northern Studios

The Northern Studios is the only large-scale studio complex in the North East. We provide dry-hire studio and green screen facilities to suit a range of content producers, and offer long and short-term hire to suit your filming or unit base needs. We are at the heart of an area with excellent location shooting opportunities, with incredible coastal, rural, urban, industrial and heritage settings all within a 45-minute drive. Studio 1: 20m x 50m (1000m. sq) 5m clear working height Studio 2: A large chroma green screen studio 20m x 20m (300m.sq) 5m clear working height Studio 3: 20m x 50m (1000m. sq) 5m clear working height The full working area is reduced on the north wall by mezzanine area. Our 3 studios are configured for single or multiple users and each stage can be accessed by a full height, Clarke’s acoustic sliding door, rated at 53Db. At 5m height, all 3 stages have horizontal acoustic curtain to create an acoustic envelope. Stages 1 & 3 also have acoustic curtains with tracks to enable each to be split into two working areas. The divisions between the 3 stages are acoustically secure and the entire exterior roof is netted to prevent noise from birds.
