THE NXT CHAPTER

Anyone that has gone through a breakup knows how important it is to have the support of family, friends, and/or mental health professionals during such a difficult time. Unfortunately, support isn’t always available and many of us deal with breakups in isolation. Contrary to the fairytale of happily-ever-after that we grew up believing, turbulence is common and it should not be considered a “failure” when relationships break down. Especially on social media, marriage and romantic relationships are almost always portrayed in a positive light online—which is not reflective of reality. The discussion of divorce and breaking up is largely nonexistent online (understandably) because people don’t want to comment on their relationship hardships in public. The Nxt Chapter was created to make the discussion of divorce and breakups more honest, supportive and hopeful. Recognizing that we can learn from our past experiences to create a bright future, anyone that has or is struggling with the breakdown of a relationship can anonymously share personal stories and use our platform’s resources to navigate the next chapter of life-- whether it is with a current lover, a new lover, or no lover at all.
