One-third of young people leaving care lose their homes every year. They represent 25% of the homeless population and 41% are not in education, employment, or training. Even more alarming, care leavers are five times more likely to take their own lives.
We’ve developed an app that provides information, education and inspiration supporting care leavers to successfully navigate all areas of their lives including: finance, housing, employment, debt, money management, health and much more. This innovative idea is the first product of its kind in the UK.
Recognising the preference for video content among young people, the app predominantly delivers its content through concise, motivational videos, complemented by additional links to credible resources and life skills learning material (with Quiz’s to test knowledge), ensuring accessibility 24/7. The app has been set up to completely transform the lives of all care leavers from across the UK and beyond.
