With humble yet ambitious beginnings in the mountain towns of Calabria, Francesco Bastone spent his childhood working on the family farm alongside his father. A passion for food and a drive for success motivated Francesco to relocate to America, and over fifty years later his legacy lives through The Pine; a quintessential Italian restaurant in the heart of the Bronx. Famous for its Chicken Parm, Nonna’s Meatballs, and Frank’s Ragu, The Pine celebrates the classic Italian dishes that its founders were raised on in a lively, vibrant neighborhood setting.
