The Press is the largest daily newspaper in the South Island and is part of the Fairfax media group. The newspaper was founded on 25 May 1861 and has been providing Cantabrians with their daily dose of news ever since.
Moving with the times, The Press introduced its online offering in 1995 - press.co.nz. The website is updated throughout the day with the latest news, views, photos, videos, quizzes and more.
