The Pro Team Challenge

The Pro Team Challenge seeks to launch a season-long, coed team-element for professional golf to bring together the PGA and LPGA Tours and stage a one-day, season ending event unlike any tournament you’ve seen before. High level details of the concept include: - Teams will comprise four to eight PGA and LPGA professionals (a minimum of two men and two women on each team); - Pro golfers play their normal schedules and their weekly performance will count as points for their team; - A one-day championship event will be held in November for the top four teams in the January-October season-long points standings; and - Each team will have a brand partner (sponsor) which will fund player contracts, subject to a league-wide salary cap.
