The Reserve Component (TRC) was founded by George McElwee, whose unique blend of experience as chief of staff to a senior member of Congress and as a Navy Reserve public affairs officer inspired the firm’s creation. These dual roles gave George unparalleled insight into the legislative process and a deep appreciation for the critical support systems that enable success in government and military operations. As chief of staff to U.S. Representative Charlie Dent for nearly a decade, George developed a deep understanding of legislative strategy, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. George’s time in the Navy Reserve further shaped TRC’s unique model.
