The Roasting Room (formerly Grounded) was founded in 2021 by owner, Olly, and partner, Loz.
Olly gained experience with coffee when he lived in Raglan, New Zealand. He worked for a surf shop that had an affiliated roastery, so when the opportunity for him to roast his own coffee came up, he took it.
We started on our small roaster in Bank St, where Olly would roast in the window. Now we have a dedicated site at Lanteague in Zelah as 4kg per roast is no longer enough!
We have two coffee shops in heart of Newquay where we have a team of highly trained barista's who take pride in serving speciality coffee and educating people on coffee varieties, whilst delivering an extremely high level of customer service.
Ever since we began roasting our own specialty coffee, we’ve had amazing independent businesses wanting to team up with us. Wholesale is easily one of the fastest growing areas of our business and we love it!
To us, our wholesale clients are far more than just accounts we supply, they are family.
We want to champion our partners in every step of their journey, from the first planning meeting, to 10 year anniversary party.
