The Shot

Don’t think of The Shot as being like your typical singing competition like The Voice or American Idol or The X-Factor; instead, think of it more like Dragon’s Den or Shark Tank where your audition is like a job interview — you’re pitching yourself, your voice and your talent (your product). The process leading up to the Showcase is an opportunity to work with mentors that will help you to refine what you have to sell with the Showcase being the chance to really … showcase who you are and what you’ve got to give to a professionals from all across the spectrum of the music industry. The Shot is part singing competition, part scouting platform. The Shot provides the opportunity for the best aspiring talent to seen by labels, management, agencies and insiders and does the scouting for the industry. While other platforms are in it for themselves, looking for talent for their own rosters and purposes, The Shot is opening doors and creating opportunities for everyone else in the business.
