The Simulus Group

The Simulus Group has helped develop projects and conducted project assessments for more than 75 companies in over 25 countries. A measure of our technical success is the high level of repeat clientele. Our engineers have a wide range of operating and design experience including nickel, cobalt, copper, uranium, zinc, lead, gold, iron ore, alumina and rare earth projects. Our services span the entire product development lifecycle from simulation, laboratory testwork, engineering and modular and mobile plants. We also deliver technologies such as CFNP (Carbon Friendly Nickel Production). Simulus was founded in 2004 as a specialist process engineering and simulation business. The founders were both involved in the early operating stage at Murrin Murrin Nickel and Cobalt Operation and both have previous experience in copper heap leach operations, copper and uranium solvent extraction, gold operations and metallurgical testing and process design. The primary goal was to use technology to apply systematic and thorough processes to the design of process plants. Sustained growth saw the business recognised as Australian Small Business of the Year in 2006 at the Telstra Business Awards and was also recognised as Western Australia’s most innovative business in the same year. In 2007, Simulus was listed as a Fast100 business in the BRW Fast 100 list of Australia’s top 100 growing businesses. Since 2004 the business has expanded its services to improve its client offering. Simulus Engineers now offers full, multidisciplinary engineering capability whilst maintaining a strong focus on the early stages of project development, including scoping, prefeasibility and bankable feasibility studies. Simulus Laboratories provides batch and pilot plant test-work for new process development through all stages of the project development cycle and includes in-house assay capabilities.
