About Us...
The Social Cohesion Network -SCEaT - is a a Queensland based social research and community education organisation. Our PhD qualified team provides high quality analytical and evaluative research into areas as diverse as gender violence, migration and refugee movement, social policy, inclusive education, peace building and community development. We can also meet client needs as required in many aspects of social research. Our researchers are experienced in qualitative and quantitative methods, and can undertake all forms of field research to meet organisational needs.
SCEaT also offers unique learning programs designed to meet individual or organisational needs. We facilitate individual and small group workshops. These can be designed as a one-off for that specific help you need, or as a six week program where we cover a number of topics at a discounted rate. The important thing is - every session is designed by us to suit your individual needs. These are not accredited 'courses' that leave you with ongoing debt or tutoring that is generic and subject specific. As a facilitated learning service we aim to help people gain/improve/refine their writing skills before they commit to expensive tertiary study. SCEaT educators have extensive expertise in university teaching and course design. We take great care to assist prospective university students become competent writers and researchers, and corporate employees to write professionally. We do so by working closely with you so that your learning is transformational and exciting - and fun.
SCEaT also offer a range of fun, relaxed writing workshops for non-academic writers. We are published authors who can help you explore your creative writing talents. If you are writing a story, book, blog or just want to have a better idea of how to write well come along to one of our themed creative days and have a play with words. With no ongoing commitments this is a great way get started.
